Satoshi operates on the Lightning Network using Lightning channels connected to a node ("Peer") run by STBA Holdings, Inc., the developers of the wallet. Payments on the Lightning Network are not publicly broadcast. Instead, they are encrypted and routed from the payer to the payee via intermediate nodes, using a tor-like onion routing protocol. However for convenience your Satoshi application delegates the calculation of payment routes to the STBA Holdings, Inc. node. In the current version of the wallet, this node will know the final recipient of the payment, and the amount sent. Work is being done to remove that limitation and have better privacy.
Satoshi offers a Lightning ↔ on-chain swap service. Our server will know the origin of swap-in transactions, and the recipient of swap-out transactions.
The wallet connects to one or multiple external servers to monitor the blockchain. You can instruct the app to connect only to a specific server, ideally one you manage yourself.
